It’s My Life! Celebrating 15 Years: Walk a Mile for Survivors
Fifteen years. That’s fifteen years of walking, raising awareness, and standing together for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in our community. The Branch County Coalition’s 15th Annual Walk-a-Mile Fundraiser is more than just an event—it’s a movement, a statement, and a commitment to making our community safer and stronger. And this year, we’re going all out to celebrate our milestone!
Our theme this year is Bon Jovi’s “It’s My Life,” encouraging survivors to step into their power, channel their strength, and resiliently show the world they are in control of their destiny.
Whether you’ve been with us from the start or this is your first time hearing about it, we want YOU to be part of this special event. To honor our 15th year, we’ve put together 15 ways you can get involved—because there’s more than one way to make an impact!

Why This Walk Matters
Every year, survivors in our community rely on our coalition for shelter, advocacy, and support. Events like Walk-a-Mile help us fund those services while showing survivors they are not alone. This 15th anniversary is about honoring our past efforts and looking toward a future where everyone is safe, supported, and heard.
Join us in making this the most powerful Walk-a-Mile yet. Let’s slip on our heels, raise our voices, and take meaningful steps toward change—together.
See you at the starting line!
